The Rosant is a rodent pest native to Domhan Gra. They are known for being ugly and loud; once they start screeching they can end up being so irritating that they ruin the day of anyone that hears them. They are often seen in alleyways and around farms or bins. They stand about licking their eyes or eating leftovers and trash. If approached, they will often freeze in place before running away on their hind legs while making a high womanly pitched noise.
Their scream is well known for keeping people awake at night, stopping them from sleeping. Deep sleepers have no problem dealing with these pests, however. They’re very dumb animals, some walk into walls or stare into space for ages. A scholar added the Rosant to a guidebook of intelligent animals, thinking that they are much smarter than they seem, however, he has no proof of this. He goes on about how they use small sounds to communicate with each other, but once again most people don't believe this to be true.
Rosant is eaten in hot climates and across Domhan Gra among poor citizens who can’t afford other food. In comparison to the human world, the flavor of the Rosant is somewhat like roast newt, only a small amount of meat but somewhat tasty and crunchy.

Hunter’s note: Loud and obnoxious but can be used to your benefit. With some work, a trained Rosant can be an excellent distraction to set up an ambush or escape a tricky situation.

If the master has a group of them they can enter a room and deafen enemies, in some cases for life.
